Frequently asked questions about hr and workforce planning calculators
What is an FTE and why does it matter?
A full-time equivalent expresses part-time and full-time hours as a single headcount figure, which makes staffing, budgeting and benchmarking comparable.
How is the attrition rate calculated?
Divide the number of employees who left in a period by the average headcount in that period, then multiply by 100.
How can absence rate help scheduling?
Tracking absence as a share of scheduled working time shows how much buffer to plan into rosters and where patterns are emerging.
