Frequently asked questions about Nano AI

What is Ordio Nano AI?

Nano is the integrated AI assistant in Ordio: you ask questions or give instructions in German, and Nano works with the data and functions of your workspace - for example on shifts, times or personnel topics. Instead of searching through each module individually, you summarize steps in a conversation. Nano is therefore aimed at managers and HR who need to make quick decisions.

How does Nano technically work with my Ordio workspace?

Nano is firmly integrated into Ordio and accesses the same live data and modules for which your account is authorized. Requests are processed, suitable actions or evaluations are suggested and - where intended - executed directly. The context of the conversation is taken into account so that follow-up questions and steps remain consistent. This keeps everything in one platform instead of using external chat tools

What tasks can I do with Nano in practice?

Typical tasks include quickly creating or adjusting shifts, checking availability, querying hours and overtime and evaluating teams or time periods. Nano can also accompany multi-stage processes in a conversation, such as first clarifying availability and then suggesting a shift. The scope and limits depend on your Ordio modules and rights

For whom is Nano particularly worthwhile?

Teams with a high operational tempo benefit in particular: branch or shift managers, management and HR, who have many short queries and changes every day. Nano reduces search and click paths when you have recurring questions about data. Small businesses gain time in day-to-day operations; growing organizations scale routine interactions without additional individual solutions.

In which language does Nano work and do I need training?

Currently, the focus is on natural German; other languages can be added later. You do not need to technically code formulations - normal sentence structure is usually sufficient. Many teams start without separate training because the interface is structured like a chat. For complex scenarios, it is worth practising with clear goals and sample requests.

Does Nano see all employee data or only what I am allowed to see?

Nano respects the same roles and authorizations as your Ordio access to the HR management system. Data that you are not allowed to view anyway remains hidden - such as shift planning, time recording or master data. This keeps the separation between manager, HR and location consistent. Technology reflects the organizational rules; when roles change in the system, this automatically affects Nano.

Is the use of Nano data protection compliant?

Ordio treats HR data according to high data protection standards; processing and storage are carried out within the framework of your contract and the applicable regulations, with a focus on secure infrastructure for your HR system. Details can be found in the Ordio data protection and product information. Transparency and documentation obligations from the EU AI Act environment also apply to AI use - coordinate with legal and data protection when rolling out Nano widely.

Do I need a separate setup or integration for Nano?

No. Nano is part of Ordio and uses your existing environment - no additional middleware or separate login. As soon as your package includes Nano and the function is active for your workspace, you can get started. The scope of available actions depends on the modules you have booked. If you have any questions about activation, Ordio's regular support team will be happy to help.

How does Nano support shift planning, time registration and payroll?

Nano complements the classic interfaces: You can create or move shifts, query times and evaluations and ask questions about payroll data, provided the modules are active for you. You can find more in-depth information without chat in employee scheduling, working-time-recording and payroll. Nano summarizes the cross-sectional questions that would otherwise require several menus.

What does Nano cost and where can I find the current package prices?

Nano is included in matching Ordio packages - not intended as a separate individual purchase. You can see the current conditions and scope of services on the price page. There you can see which package Nano covers and which other modules you can combine. This keeps the calculation transparent, without hidden additional licenses for the wizard.

How can I try Nano in a team?

Start with an Ordio test or guided demo so you can try out real data and typical questions. In a live session you can see how Nano responds to shift and time questions and where the limits are. Arrange a demo if you want to coordinate the process with colleagues. This makes the subsequent rollout decision easier.

Where can I get help if Nano cannot execute a request?

If a request is unclear, invalid or technically impossible, Nano will point this out or suggest alternatives. For more in-depth questions about the contract, rights or errors, you can use Ordio support and the help and documentation services as usual. Nano does not replace technical clarification with HR or IT, but accelerates the path to data and standard actions in everyday life
