How are Ordio costs broken down - per location or per employee?

Looking for an overview of Ordio prices or costs? Ordio charges per location per month, not per employee. Whether 5 or 50 people work at a location, the package price remains the same. This keeps your HR costs predictable and prevents them from scaling with every new hire. Many other providers charge per user or employee; with Ordio, you count locations—a transparent approach if you want to compare HR software prices without paying per head.

What do Starter, Plus, Pro and Enterprise cost?

Monthly costs depend on the package and billing method. For annual billing, the list prices for the packages are currently €89 (Starter), €129 (Plus), and €169 (Pro) per location per month—you can also find these figures in the package table at the top of this page. The Plus package includes, among other features, legally compliant time tracking, a terminal, and broadcasts; the Pro package includes checklists, DATEV and payroll export, and the Public REST API.

Enterprise starts at €344 per location per month (annual billing) or €399 for monthly billing—you can find details and request a demo by clicking “Get Started” in the Enterprise package in the table.

To whom do the list prices apply - and when does Enterprise make sense?

The list prices for Starter, Plus, and Pro are designed for typical teams and organizations with a manageable location structure—from smaller businesses to growing companies that can plan around the package features. Enterprise comes into play if you have a very large number of employees, complex role or branch models, or special operational and contractual requirements; in that case, we’ll discuss terms on an individual basis—start with the Enterprise package by clicking “Get Started” on the pricing page. This way, you can easily compare prices with other HR software offerings without having to bill users individually.

Can I switch between packages?

Yes. For example, you can switch from Starter to Plus or from Plus to Pro. The change will take effect at the start of the next billing period; your data will remain in Ordio. This allows you to adjust your plan if, for example, you want to add time tracking or DATEV export.

Is there a free trial period?

Yes. You can try Ordio for 7 days free of charge and with no obligation, with the full range of features included in the package you choose. No credit card is required, and there is no automatic renewal after the 7 days.

What happens after the test phase?

If you’d like to continue, simply select a plan and the appropriate billing option. If not, just let us know—we’ll delete your trial account.

What is the difference between monthly and annual payment?

With annual billing, you save 16% compared to the more flexible monthly option without an annual commitment. With monthly billing, you pay slightly more but have the flexibility to cancel at any time. Which option is right for you depends on how firmly you want to lock in your plans.

Are there any hidden costs or set-up fees?

No. The package price shown is transparent—no hidden fees, no setup fees for the software. Onboarding and support for the respective package tier are included in the price, with no extra “mandatory” costs just to get started.

What is included in onboarding?

Support and onboarding are included in the listed prices: Our team will assist you with setup, help you import existing data, and show you how to use Ordio on a daily basis. Onboarding is free for all packages; the extent of personalized support depends on your plan (see also the “Security & Support” comparison in the table on the pricing page).

What add-ons are available - and how do DATEV and payroll export work?

In addition to Starter, Plus, and Pro, you can purchase add-ons—such as Payroll Plus (€15 per payroll run), Tips (coming soon), Ordio Events, Document Generator, Chat Communication (coming soon), or Staffing Agencies—each with transparent pricing per location in the “Additional Add-ons” section on this page.

Ordio offers DATEV and payroll export as well as the Public REST API in the Pro package—even if you’re looking for a DATEV interface or export path to common payroll programs without data loss.
