How are Ordio fees structured — per location or per employee?
Ordio bills per location per month, not per employee. Whether five or fifty people work at that site, the package price stays the same. That keeps workforce software costs predictable and avoids per-seat creep when you hire. Many vendors charge per user—Ordio counts sites, which stays easy to compare when you evaluate HR software pricing.
What do Starter, Plus and Pro cost?
List prices depend on the package and billing rhythm. With annual billing, packages are currently €89 (Starter), €129 (Plus) and €149 (Pro) per location per month — the same figures appear in the plan table higher on this page (EUR list prices). Plus adds compliant time tracking, terminal and broadcasts; Pro adds checklists, DATEV & payroll export and the public REST API.

Who are list prices for — and when is Enterprise the right fit?
List prices for Starter, Plus and Pro suit typical teams with a manageable site structure — from smaller operators to growing companies that can plan around standard packages. Enterprise fits when you have large headcount, complex roles or franchises, or specific contractual needs; we then agree terms individually via “Request a quote” on the pricing page. That keeps comparisons with other HR software pricing transparent without stacking per-user charges.
Can I switch between packages?
Yes. You can move — for example from Starter to Plus or Plus to Pro. Changes apply from the next billing period; your data stays in Ordio. That lets you upgrade when you add time tracking, DATEV export or other capabilities.
Is there a free trial?
Where we offer self-serve signup for your market, you can try Ordio free for 7 days with the scope of the package you choose — no credit card and no automatic renewal after the trial. While we expand internationally, availability may vary by region; use waitlist / walkthrough if self-serve trial is not shown for your location.
What happens after the trial?
If you want to continue, pick a package and billing cycle. If not, a short note is enough and the trial workspace is removed.

What is the difference between monthly and annual billing?
With annual billing you save 16% versus the more flexible monthly option without an annual commitment. Monthly costs a bit more but keeps tighter month-to-month flexibility. Choose based on how fixed your planning horizon is.
Are there hidden fees or setup charges?
No. The displayed package price is transparent — no hidden fees and no mandatory software setup charges. Onboarding and support for your tier are included so you are not forced into extra “must-have” fees just to go live.
What is included in onboarding?
Support and onboarding for your tier are included in the stated prices: our team helps with setup, migrating existing data where applicable, and showing how to use Ordio day to day. Onboarding is free for these packages; the depth of personal guidance follows your plan (see also “Security & support” in the comparison table on this page).
Which add-ons exist — and how do DATEV or payroll export work?
Beyond Starter, Plus and Pro you can book add-ons — for example Payroll Plus (integrated payroll — see the add-on block higher on this page), Events, hardware terminals or specialist setups. Details and requests live under Bookable add-ons on this page.
